Work

  • Oracle

    Applications Developer | Apr 2018 - Present
    Software Development Intern | Sep 2017 – Mar 2018

My team and I work on improving credentials management and sensitive data protection using open-source tools. We have the opportunity to carry the project from design to implementation and launch (planning stage), as well as deployment process for this new service. When launched, it will reduce existing security compliance concern by approximately 70%.

  • Rockwell Collins

    Systems Engineer Co-op | Sep - Dec 2016

I had the opportunity to work with a diverse team of approximately 30 people as part of the flight displays application software certification effort. These few months further exposed me to the validation and verification part of the software/systems engineering side in aviation industry, which is essential to ensure systems safety. This experience especially taught me the importance of effective communication in resolving issues to achieve common goals. Being part of a diverse team has just shown me how much I enjoy learning and growing together as a team.

  • Teledyne Controls

Systems Engineer Intern | Jun - Aug 2016

Teledyne Controls introduced me to the systems/software engineering side of the aviation industry, and the software development life cycle. I learned immensely during these couple months through working collaboratively with Senior Systems and Software Engineers, Product Owner, the Quality Assurance, as well as the Production team in the software release effort. Working alongside the brightest minds in the industry has shown me the effectiveness of outside the box mindset in solving problems. Thus, I was able to continuously develop various perspectives while troubleshooting issues and developing solutions.

  • Southwest Airlines

Powerplant Engineering Intern | Jan - May 2016

My first internship was with the Southwest Airlines Powerplant Operations team, where we strive to keep the fleet flying for our customers by maintaining engine health. During these few months, I analyzed root cause of a recurring engine issue and proposed related maintenance task improvement and created Powerplant Operations Handbook to effectively instruct new engineers on everyday powerplant tasks. Working with this amazing team has especially taught me the importance of customer satisfaction and that great work comes from enjoying what you do.
